Privacy notice

SupportPrep is an independent peer support training simulator, not officially affiliated with any organization, built and maintained by James Gogolak. It is not a real crisis line, and nothing you do here reaches anyone who actually needs help.

A username and password (stored as a one-way hash, never in plain text) and an email address used only for password reset, or, if you sign in with Google, your Google account email instead. If you practice a text or email scenario, the full content of that conversation is stored, along with the feedback report generated when you end it.

That's the whole list. There's no analytics tracking, no ad tracking, and no selling or sharing of data with advertisers.

Conversation content is sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate the AI persona's replies and to grade the conversation afterward. If you use "Continue with Google," Google handles that sign-in and shares your account email with SupportPrep. If you request a password reset, your email address is passed to Resend, an email delivery service, solely to send you that one reset link. If you use voice mode, your spoken audio is sent to OpenAI's Whisper API to convert it to text, and the persona's reply text is sent to ElevenLabs to generate the spoken audio you hear. None of these companies use this data for anything beyond providing that specific service, and it is not shared with anyone else.

By default, nothing here applies to you and none of this changes anything about your account. Only if you deliberately choose "join with an organization" on the login or sign-up screen, and accept an invite from a supervisor after seeing an explicit notice about what that means, does anything change: from the moment you join onward, that organization's supervisor can see your practice conversation transcripts, feedback reports, and progress, and can leave notes on your reports that you can see. Conversations from before you joined are never shared, and a supervisor never sees your password or account settings.

Conversations, their messages, and their grading reports are automatically and permanently deleted 90 days after the conversation began, whether or not it was ever finished. This happens automatically. There is nothing you need to do.

Your account itself (username and login) stays active past that point so you do not lose access to your achievement progress, until you either stop using it or delete it yourself.

You can permanently delete your account and everything tied to it, including every conversation, message, and report. Go to Settings and use "Delete all my data." Deletion is immediate, with no waiting period, and it cannot be undone.
